Welcome to Okada!

That's what I was told when I recieved my job. Even though I knew about my assignment since May, I never saw my room closely until today, the day I recieved my keys to move in. Lots of space. Not! I wish I could show you my old room in

Needless to say, I needed to move some of my furniture. I had to figure out a way to squeeze more stuff into a smaller room, so I decided to move a lot of the furniture around immediately. This shot was taken from the hallway leading into my room; the room has been untouched at this point. (Well, maybe the doorknob.)

The left wall. Pretty barren.

The right wall. Equally empty.

About the only thing in my room at this point of any interest was probably, well, my shirt - depicting a full (well, nearly) periodic table as well as several random items with specific elements in them. Do you know the chemical formula for piperidine, the active ingredient for pepper?

This is the view outside my window. I the back entry of food service, er..., dining service is outside, and I managed to capture one of the trucks secretly delivering today's live bait ... I mean, food for today's lunch.
