yay! it's friday! *cartwheel* hee hee. yesterday it was a *cheer* so i figured today i should upgrade to a cartwheel. too bad i can't do handsprings. so today was a productive day of shopping. it started at walmart, where i finally got the nyc liquid lip color in au naturel that i've been dying to check out (but was always sold out). it's a nice shimmery pinky-beige color that accentuates my natural lip color. and, as always, it was only $1.70 or something.

then i went to the newly-opened DSW -- designer shoe warehouse -- today. actually, today was their grand opening, and i knew that because i'd tried to go about a week ago, and they had signs on their windows that announced 7/21 as their grand opening day. :) hee hee. so, since it's located down the street from work, i went during lunch hour. i found a nice, strappy black mule with a moderate heel for $40. yay! i've been slowly replenishing my shoe collection, which has been instrumental in aiding my recovery from the shock of losing 3 oft-worn pairs. i like mules because i don't like fiddling with straps and such. and i don't like anything with too high of a heel (above 3") because then i feel like a giant. the cashier put the shoebox in a nice black fabric tote with DSW silk-screened on the side. yay!

my shopping day continued after work, when i hit the anniversary sale at nordstrom. yay! they weren't sold out of the stila fall preview palette, so i snagged one for $20, which is a pretty good deal considering the usual price of stila goods (the lipshine's $18 and the eyeshadows and lipsticks are around $15 each). this palette is the cutest thing! and exclusive to nordstrom for their anniversary sale. for a picture, check out the nordstrom beauty trends page, which also lists the other cosmetic specials for the sale. and here's a clear picture of it on ebay.

i also got a pair of sunglasses for $39, marked down from $60. the gal who helped me initially shook her head at a too-large framed one, but when i put these on, she was like, "those are cute, girl!" hee hee. i think that's what sold me. well, plus i liked them and i need sunglasses... i know i just bought a $10 pair from walmart a few weeks ago, but i ended up returning them because they fit funny.

after nordstrom, i went to sweet factory, where i picked up lots of jelly bellies and some chocolate-covered gummi bears. yay! and i gave myself a makeover at mac, hehe. i really like the spanish fly, a brownish-plum with a slightly green multishimmer, and another lipstick (forget what it's called, maybe modum). the only thing i bought was an eyeshadow pan in satin taupe (a shimmery brown with a tinge of plum) to complete my mac pro palette. yay!
