august 12-13, 2000 i had a nice weekend. saturday i cleaned my room, and rotated my mattress, and reorganized my drawers. i also vacuumed, with the vacuum cleaner that jocelyn's mom sent her when she shipped her car, and wow! i must say that a powerful vacuum cleaner makes quite a difference. i love how after a good vacuuming, you can see the vacuum path traced in the carpet pile in straight, parallel rows. now that we have an effective vacuum, i think i will start vacuuming every other day. the other vacuum didn't pick up the carpet fluff and hair very well, and i suspect that it stirred up dust more than anything.
i also did three loads of laundry. i enjoy laundering my clothes ("clothe" if i only have one item to wash. hehe. never mind, i'm just being silly it's so convenient having an in-unit washer and dryer! no more collecting quarters, no more lugging my laundry basket down endless flights of stairs, no more worrying that someone will steal my clothes, no more dealing with dampness because i don't have enough change to run the dryer again. hee hee. plus, every so often i throw my down pillow into the dryer to fluff on the "no heat" cycle, and it's so convenient not having to pay each time i do that. by the way i received the cargo set on friday, and the yukon shadow is shimmery (if you'll remember from my beauty.com conversation, bailey told me it wasn't shimmery) but i don't mind because actually, i prefer it to be shimmery! :) the lipgloss is cool, the eyeshadow brush is perfect for an all-over wash of color on the lid, and i love the black nylon bag the set came in. and beauty.com offers $10 off every order above $35! :) sunday, i went to KCPC's afternoon contemporary worship service. i've been to the church before, but not to this particular service, and not to the youth chapel, where the service was held. i was kind of nervous about finding the building, and about where to park, but i found a parking space really close to the what turned out to be the youth chapel. i went inside, sat down, and the girl in front of me turned around, and it was my friend eunice! :) so it all worked out. i think i will start going to KCPC from now on. it's about time i settled down and found a church to attend consistently. hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!
