am i a nerd? i'm actually considering typing up my grocery list and printing it out to take with me to safeway tonight. i find grocery lists indispensible, otherwise i overbuy or forget key items... and if i have time, i'll arrange the items by department (fresh produce, dairy, frozen, etc) because that facilitates streamlined shopping. hehe.

so anyway, i've been browsing epicurious for recipe ideas, and i noticed their slogan: "as into food as you are." i love it! i think it's really clever and appropriate, especially since i'm really into food. :)

yesterday, while waiting for ken to get his hair cut in annandale (the 'korea-town' of VA), i bought an isa knox eyeshadow compact and the august issue of ceci magazine. i enjoy reading korean magazines because they have good beauty and fashion pictorials and great ads. plus it's a great way to improve my korean skills. :) oh and we found a soondubu (korean tofu) place that just opened up (waves to gg), so of course we had to eat dinner there. it was good but not as good as soondubu i've had in CA. but good enough for the time being. :)

i lost my tweezerman slant tweezers the other day... i'd brought them with me to work and they disappeared from my bag on my way home. :( the clear protective case was still there, so i'm guessing the tweezers fell out somehow. i have a backup pair of inferior tweezers that will have to do for now, but i have to say that my tweezermans (tweezermen?) must be replaced. there is no substitute for the tweezerman -- it's widely regarded as the best.

a couple of my friends and i are throwing around the idea of going on a makeup hiatus until the end of the year. while these two girls do considerably more damage than i do in terms of cosmetics hauls, i've decided to join them in their moratorium, with modified terms. realistically, i don't think i could last 4 months without buying new makeup (does that sound sad, or what? but on the other hand, i don't buy new clothes very often anymore), so i'm going to limit myself to either a certain number of items or specific dollar amount each month.

i obtained a recipe for wonton noodle soup from adam. does anyone have any recs for the noodles used in this soup? email me! (click email address below). tia! (thanks in advance)
